Groundwater Heat Pump in a Single-Family Home

There is a large groundwater reserve of extremely high quality in the Aare Valley, between Thun and Bern. Part of the Münsingen community is built on this groundwater area. One neighbourhood in this community features a single-family home that uses the energy from this groundwater for heating.

Mini-neighbourhood heating cooperative

In a terraced house in Basel, a nano-cooperative is providing heat. This neighbourhood cooperative provides 90% of heating from renewable energy, instead of the previous 33%. This is despite the fact that gas-fired heating systems are still fitted in two of the three residential units.

Living in and with nature

Eleven buildings with a total of 110 flats. This is "Les Rives de Bramois" in Sion. Remarkably, the buildings only account for 20% of the site area. The remaining 80% are sustainable green spaces and places for non-motorised traffic.

Safe and climate-friendly – Chillers with NH₃ for data centres

Their high safety standards make ammonia chillers a reliable and safe solution for cooling data centres. The example of a redundantly designed cooling system for a regional data centre operator shows that high performance and energy efficiency go hand in hand.

Oil tanks are out; air source heat pumps are in

Owing to his job at Swisshaus, the owner had already established an interest in heating technology as part of the energy transition. Now, he’s also taken this home with him. The oil heating system gave way to an external air source heat pump from CTA.

Energy-efficient leisure experience at the Silvretta Thermal Baths

The Silvretta Thermal Baths in Ischgl set new standards, both in terms of the experience it offers and in terms of building technology. The construction and its operation should be as energy-efficient and sustainable as possible. CTA’s heat pumps also play an important role.

Sustainable energy supply for historic building

The site of today’s industrial park “The Valley” is located where the legendary Maggi stock cubes were once produced. From autumn 2023, the historic buildings will be sustainably heated and cooled using energy from the air. The key components are four custom-made, reversible chillers/industrial heat pumps.
